They are ready!
This weekend I made a “Dala horse” banana bread experiment. I have to say, it was a huge success, the loaves are half gone already!

Ingredients:
- 285g (10 oz) wholewheat flour
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 110g (4oz) butter
- 225g (8oz) caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 85ml (3fl oz) milk mixed with 1½ tsp lemon juice (or you can use buttermilk instead of this mix)
- the seeds of 1 vanilla pod (or 1 tsp of vanilla extract)
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180C / 350F / Gas 4.
Mix flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt. In an another bowl, mix butter and sugar together until creamy. The mix has to be kind of light and fluffy. Then add eggs, mashed bananas, milk and vanilla.
Mix well and then pour into the flour mixture. Stir well.
Use some butter to grease the baking tins. Remember to grease well in the corners especially, or half of your marvellous creation will stick to the tin when you try to flip it.
Bake until golden-brown.
Let it cool off a little while before you flip it onto the serving dish.
Et voilà! I suppose you could also add toppings, like golden syrup or melted chocolate…

Nothing, except I used wholewheat flour instead of plain flour.
